Your Wedding

We photographed Nicola and Grant's beautiful Mottram Hall Wedding in early spring and what a day it was! We had such a wonderful day from the morning right up until the sun setting.

We have often said that Cheshire has some of the best wedding venues in the the UK and Mottram Hall is now another location on a long list of a stunning Cheshire Wedding Venues we've been lucky enough to photograph at. We photograph so many weddings in Cheshire, we would definitely class ourselves as a Cheshire Wedding Photographer and always look forward to every Cheshire Wedding that we document.

The day began in golden sunlight and we joined Nicola and her bridesmaids as they got ready, taking as always, natural and posed photographs of the bridal party. We photographed the dress and all the details as we found them - we never come into a bride's room and start rearranging things! This just distracts and adds stress to the bridal party - and also means our photographs aren't natural or documentary in style. And documentary wedding photography is of course what we are well known for.

Nicola received a gift and hand written card from Grant - this a beautifully emotional moment for us to capture and the whole morning went by in the blink of an eye. When Grant and the groomsmen arrived at Mottram Hall, we joined them outside as they had a few drinks and waited for the ceremony. The ceremony itself was so lovely - Nicola looking stunning in her dress and Grant of course looking rather dapper as well. After the ceremony, Nicola, Grant and all their guests decamped to the beautiful lawns to the rear of the Hall. Drinks flowed in the sunshine with laughing faces everywhere. We could just step and capture it all naturally. After we grabbed a few photos with the happy couple, it was time for speeches, with Grant delivering such a beautiful speech, leaving hardly a dry eye in the house. Then it was onto dinner, before a most welcome sunset.

The sunset really was spectacular. The sun was aflame with orange and red and seemed to set the sky alight - it really was perfect for photography. So, just befoe the first dance, we joined Nicola and Grant for a stroll around the grounds as the sun slowly set beyond the horizon. It was the perfect end to a perfect day - then it was back inside to capture the bouquet toss and then some dancing (and very impressive dancing might we add!) As we left, the dance floor was still packed. We would gladly shoot a wedding like this every week. We hope you like our selection of just a few of our favourite images from the day.
