Liam and Kirsty's winter wedding at New House Farm was a dream for any Lake District Wedding Photographer. Snow capped peaks, a lovely couple, a beautiful venue and wedding guests having an amazing day despite the freezing cold temperatures.
This brings us to the cold weather - and it was definitely cold! Despite the freezing winds and light covering of snow that kept the guests inside (a wise move!) Liam and Kirsty were determined to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Lakes. So, after the ceremony, when Kirsty and Liam went for a drive to the beautiful Crummock Water nearby, we joined them to take a few photos as they enjoyed the views. It was well worth the journey and braving the cold - not that we heard Kirsty or Liam complain once about the weather! There is really nowhere else like the Lake District and being able to take wedding photographs there with such a lovely couple was just perfect.
The whole day was just that - perfect. From the morning when Liam and Kirsty received amazing surprise gifts from one another to a beautiful first dance which seuged into a full dance floor of wedding guests, we definitely couldn't have asked for more as Wedding Photographers.
We so pleased that Kirsty and Liam left us the following 5 star review on google, it's great to know they loved thier wedding photographs as much as we did taking them!
"We first came across M and G Photographic on Facebook and knew instantly their natural relaxed photography was what we wanted for our wedding day.
We weren't keen on the idea of a pre-wedding shoot as we thought we might feel awkward but Patrick convinced us it would be worthwhile and came as part of the package. We were so glad we did as it was great to get to know Patrick before the day and made us realise that all we had to do was go about our day and Patrick would capture all our natural moments without any effort, cheesy posing or even realising he was there. This really put us at ease before the day and we loved the photographs!
Patrick and Hollie photographed our wedding day in December 2017 in the Lake District and we couldn't have picked a nicer couple to share our day with.
They were very friendly, calm, professional and had even spent a couple of hours before the wedding looking for great photo locations with beautiful backdrops nearby. Looking back at some of the photos there were moments when we didn't even realise they were there!
They captured every tear, every laugh, every kiss, every little detail and their photographs will forever be our best memory of the day. There's just one problem. . . . . we can't frame them all! We loved every single photograph and it still brings a tear to our eyes when we look at them. They even worked extra hard to deliver the photos to us before Christmas ahead of when we expected to receive them. They were worth every penny and we would highly recommend Patrick and Hollie to anyone for their wedding day."

As well as working with Hazel and the staff at New House Farm, it was great to work alongside the following talented suppliers: Claire Hall of Peaches & Cream Wedding Hair, Sarah Mattinson Make Up, Dynamic Entertainment, Floral Boutique Cockermouth and Lucy’s Inside Out Catering (Lucy's food was amazing - she made sure we were so well looked after!) We can't wait to return to photograph at New House Farm for our next wedding there in 2019. If you're interested in us photographing your wedding day, please get in touch by clicking here.
